CursorShot is operated by Ryuxin Entertainment (“we”). This policy explains the information used by the CursorShot website, account, licensing, release, and support services. The Windows editor is designed so recording media and project content remain on your PC.
1. Information we process
- Account information from Firebase Authentication, such as user ID, email address, email-verification state, display name, profile image URL, and sign-in provider.
- Subscription and entitlement data, including plan, trial or paid state, validity dates, provider identifiers, and transaction status. Polar processes checkout and billing information as merchant of record.
- Device and license metadata, such as an opaque device identifier, device label you provide, authorization state, public-key proof, lease dates, app version, and last-seen time.
- Service-security and operational data, such as request identifiers, IP address, user-agent information, authentication events, rate-limit events, release downloads, and bounded error codes.
- Support communications you choose to send us.
2. Screen content stays local
CursorShot does not upload recordings, captured frames, project media, window titles, URLs, cursor tracks, or exported videos to the CursorShot account service. These items are stored and processed locally by the desktop application unless you independently choose to send or publish an exported file elsewhere.
3. First-party campaign measurement and optional analytics
When a link contains campaign tags, we increment a daily aggregate for the landing path and sanitized utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign. This aggregate request does not set a cookie, use local storage, create an attribution session, or store the page query, IP address, user agent, or an individual identifier. Only after you select “Allow analytics” do we record additional first-party events such as page, pricing, account-creation, checkout, and purchase milestones. Consented analytics may retain campaign tags and link an opaque attribution token to your account. Raw consented attribution sessions and their event rows are retained until the later of 90 days after creation or the end of a renewed 30-day paid-click attribution window, then removed by daily cleanup; daily aggregate counts grouped by sanitized campaign labels may be retained longer. No analytics row stores recording content, project data, passwords, or payment-card details. Separate short-lived service-security processing may still apply as described above. You may decline optional analytics without losing product functionality.
4. Why we use information
We use the information above to authenticate accounts, prevent abuse, operate trials and subscriptions, enforce the 3-computer license, issue offline license leases, deliver verified releases, understand consented acquisition funnels, respond to support requests, secure the service, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
5. Service providers
We use Google Firebase for authentication, Amazon Web Services for hosting and infrastructure, and Polar as merchant of record and payment provider. Google Ads and Reddit Ads are not connected to the CursorShot operations dashboard unless we expressly say otherwise. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
6. Retention and security
We keep account and commercial records for as long as needed to provide the service, protect it, and satisfy applicable legal obligations. Short-lived authorization codes and sessions expire automatically. Sensitive server credentials are not included in public clients or dashboard responses. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to records we must retain by law or for fraud prevention. Signing out does not delete local CursorShot projects. Uninstalling the app may intentionally preserve local recovery data until you remove it.
8. International processing and children
Service providers may process information outside your country. CursorShot is a professional productivity product and is not directed to children.
